There is also a shrine dating back to the 18th Dynasty located on the right side of the gate, a court leading to a huge pylon, and two high towers located at the opposite sides of the gate.
2. Valley of the Kings
Also referred to as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, Valley of the Kings, is a large historical valley found on the west bank of River Nile in Theban Necropolis. For more than 400 years, from the 16th to 10th century BC, royal tombs were constructed in the valley for Pharaohs and influential/privileged nobles of the Egyptian New Kingdom. There are more than 60 tombs, each containing its own number of chambers. The tombs are decorated with different scenes depicting the Egyptian mythology which offer clues to Egypt’s ancient funeral rituals and beliefs.
