Imagine being a brother to a serial killer without knowing it. Like, having meals and playing together, and essentially growing up with this serial killer, and having them as an older brother. 

Just imagine the trauma you’d have to endure for life, finding out that this your elder brother, whom you held at high-esteem, tortured and killed scores of ten innocent people. And worst, still, admitted to and took pride in his actions. Dennis Rader’s siblings were traumatized to learn all about his shenanigans.

Dennis Rader, born Dennis Lynn Rader, on March 9, 1945, in Pittsburg, Kansas State, is an American serial killer, who’d kill scores of ten in Kansas from 1974 to 1991. Branded himself as BTK, which means bind, torture, kill, Dennis, was more or less, seen as responsible member of his community until he was uncovered. 

Dennis Rader was Religious and Tactful 

Now, considering he was religious, a Christian, who was the president of a council at the local church he and his family attended named Christ Lutheran Church, nobody in BTK Killer’s immediate family suspected or figured him out. 

Speaking of his family, neither his siblings—brothers—nor his wife and children had a clue about what he does at night times. 

Let’s face it, who could’ve thought that a man, who paraded himself as a responsible, loving and caring father and husband would be anything close to a serial killer? 

Even more, this “responsible, loving, and caring” father and husband, Dennis Rader, held a Bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and an associate’s from the prestigious Butler County Community College. So, really, who could’ve thought?! 

For the most part, Dennis Rader’s siblings, as with many other people who are related to him, the BTK Killer, got an unsolicited publicity they’ve never imagined they would—bad publicity, as it were. They were [are] all victims of his double life, all of them. 

Well, let’s talk about this serial killer’s three brothers and how they feel about the public knowledge that their older brother, who they’d swear to not have a nerve to kill an animal, is a serial killer, who killed scores—in animals, and humans! 

Who are Dennis Rader Siblings? Brothers 

Dennis Rader, christened BTK Killer or BTK Strangler, has three siblings. Out of his three siblings, were three brothers, who he is older than. 

Paul Rader, born in 1947, in Kansas State, U.S, is the name of BTK Killer’s immediate younger brother. BTK Killer’s Dennis Rader is two years older than his younger brother, Paul. 

Presently, Paul is 76 years old while his BTK Killer brother, Dennis Rader, is 78 years old. 

Born Bill Rader in 1949, in Kansas, U.S., Bill is the name of BTK Killer’s second younger brother. Dennis Rader is four years older than Bill. And, well, Bill is currently 74 years old while Dennis is 78 years old. 

Jeff Rader, born in 1955, is the neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Kansas, U.S, is the name of BTK Killer’s youngest brother and last sibling. 

Dennis Rader is ten years older than his youngest brother, Jeff. And, while Jeff is 68 years old Dennis is 78 years old. 

How was Growing up for BTK Killer’s Three Brothers? Parents 

Growing up for Dennis Rader’s brothers, Paul, Bill, and Jeff, was pretty much normal. 

However, a source, following the coverage of BTK Killer’s shenanigans, reported that BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, resented his hardworking parents. 

Dennis Rader’s parents, Mae Rader (née Cook, mother) and William Elvin Rader (father) were like average middle-class parents, who worked for longer hours to meet their children’s needs. 

Also known as Dorothea M. Rader, and William E. Rader, mother and father, Dennis Rader’s parents didn’t figure their son out, either. 

Now, before he became a fullflaged serial killer, Dennis Rader started by killing animals. Oftentimes, he tortured and killed animals, after which he’d bury them somewhere in their basement. And, well, some other times, he buried them alive. 

The year is 1974, Dennis Rader BTK Killer is 29 years old, already married to his wife, Paula Dietz, and would commit his first murder. 

Did Dennis Rader’s Wife Figure him Out? 

Things they say about psychopaths and sociopaths being good at keeping “a straight record,” well, that just about played out. Because Dennis’ wife, Paula, didn’t figure him out. 

Now, BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, and his wife, Paula Dietz, got married on May 22, 1971. About three years after their marriage, Dennis would commit his first murder. And, ah, well, he and his wife would welcome their first child and only son, Brian Rader, on July 27, 1975. 

In 1978, they had their second child and only daughter, whom they named Kerri Rader, now known as Kerri Rawson. 

Now, their second child, Kerri, changed her name from Kerri Rader to Kerri Rawson after she got married to her now-husband, Darian Rawson, in 2003. 

In his capacity, Darian is a visual artist and web designer, who is alleged to have committed crimes under the branded name Harley Cook. 

To be clear, neither of Dennis Rader’s family members or outsiders were able to figure him out. But, after he was uncovered and arrested in February 2005, his wife, Paula, filed for a divorce. 

Where are Dennis Rader’s Siblings Now? Wife, Children 

As it is now, BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, is serving a 175 years imprisonment without parole. And, well, his children, wife, siblings—brothers, son-in-law, and the ten innocent people he murdered, and their families, are all his victims. 

His daughter, Kerri Rawson, is currently suffering from post-traumatic depression, and has since also suffered anxiety.

His son, Brian Rader, has continued to live a low-key life, as well as his wife, Paula Dietz. 

His three siblings—brothers, on the other hand, haven’t really made any public appearances of any sort. For the most part, they are all hurt, and in disbelief. 

Talking about the family of all the murder victims, ah, well, most certainly not easy for them. 

Sorry not sorry, could we use this instance to, AGAIN, ask the government to end gun violence? Yeah, only the government could limit the violence. They could by reviewing gun acts, rights and laws. 

Sadly, Talented American Singer, Christina Grimmie, had to die from gun violence. She was murdered when a gunman approached her after she’d just finished a show and was signing autographs for her supporters and fans, and shot at her several times. 

However we choose to look at it, gun violence should be controlled, must be controlled, can be controlled by the government. Otherwise, psychopaths and sociopaths would keep on hurting humanity! 

Yes, singer Christina Grimmie and all the victims of gun violence in this article shouldn’t have had to die! 🙁
