Ingrid Hajek was previously married to actor James Caan. Hajek and Caan met and started dating in 1989. They dated for a year and got married on Sunday September 9, 1990. Their wedding party took place on a yacht, Regentsea, in the harbor at Marina Del Rey. At the time of their marriage, Ingrid was 29 years old while her husband was 49 years old. In 1991, they had a son, whom they named Alexander James Caan (24 years old). 

Their union lasted for five years as they divorced from each other on March 29, 1995. Altogether, Ingrid’s husband, James, was married four times and divorced the same. In a 1994 interview with Vanity Fair, actress Heidi Fleiss purported that she was in a relationship with James in 1992 while he was still married to Ingrid. Heidi claimed she visited him often on the set of Flesh and Bone in Texas. However, James later revealed that their relationship was just platonic. 

Meanwhile, before Ingrid Hajek, James was previously married to Dee Jay Mathis, with whom he had a daughter, Tara (born in 1964; 59 years old). He was hitched to Dee Jay from 1961 and 1966. Ingrid is his third wife. After Ingrid, her now ex-husband, James Caan, got hitched to Linda Stokes, with whom he got married on October 7, 1995. Currently, Ingrid Hajek’s ex-husband, James Caan, is dead. He is said to have had congestive heart failure and a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Eventually, he died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on July 6, 2022, from a heart attack caused by coronary artery disease. He was aged 82; born on March 26, 1940. He was buried at Eden Memorial Park Cemetery.
