Thinga to look for when buying a Home-Real estate search
Buying a house or real estate search to make a home can be a daunting, stressful time. Concerns about moving in, repayments on the home loan and wondering if you have made the right decision can often cloud one’s thinking when looking at a property. Here are some handy tips to help you find your new home.
- IS THE AREA RIGHT FOR ME (AND MY FAMILY)?
The job of an Estate Agent or the current property owner is to sell you the property. Without suggesting they are intentionally dishonest, it could be the case that neither are likely to tell you anything but both the property and the area are perfect.
- Take time to travel around the area of the property, without necessarily viewing the property, at different times of the day and week. If at all possible, a good idea is to try and drive around the area during peak travel times, such as early in the morning when people go to work and late in the afternoon when schools close. It is almost impossible to avoid any sort of congestion.
- If you call the Land Registry contact phone number they should be able to assist you in informing you of any building plans that are being reviewed or have been granted permission. What looks like a desirable area on first viewing could change for the worse if permission has been granted for, for example, industrial premises or night clubs to be built close by.
