Jonathan Capehart replaced Tiffany. Now, after MSNBC canceled Tiffany’s Saturday show, “The Cross Connection,” on November 4, 2022, Jonathan was, in February of 2023, given the Saturday slot. 

Starting with one slot and hosting “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart,” Jonathan replaced Tiffany Cross MSNBC, taking her slot and renaming his show, “The Saturday/Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart.” 

Why was Tiffany Cross Canceled? 

Well, Tiffany was canceled by MSNBC because of the controversial opinion she held about Tua Tagovailoa’s concussions, in October of 2022

Speaking of Tua Tagovailoa, he is a football player, who plays Miami Dolphins quarterback. Now Tiffany would, on October 8, 2022, during her morning show on The Cross Collection, say that how Tua was treated following his concussions showed that white NFL coaches fail to protect “Black bodies.” 

Was the Dolphins’ head coach even White? Ah, well, the Dolphins’ head coach at the time was Mike McDaniel, and well, he wasn’t White, but biracial while Tua wasn’t even Black. But, well, Tua had a Samoan descent, instead. 

The year is November 4, 2022, and MSNBC management would cancel Tiffany Cross MSNBC’s show, informing her production staff that her contract would not be renewed. 

To be clear, the MSNBC management didn’t categorically state why they ended their contract with Tiffany. However, a couple of news networks tried to join one plus two to reach a conclusion that may have been the reason. 

According to Black Enterprise, Tiffany’s show was canceled because of her equivocally saying on a Comedy Central show just hours before that “Florida literally looks like the d–k of the country, so let’s get rid of Florida” and “Let’s castrate Florida.” 

Reporting the possible reason for the cancelation of Tiffany’s show, Variety Magazine reported that “executives at the network [were] growing concerned about the anchor’s (Tiffany’s) willingness to address statements made by cable-news hosts on other networks and indulging in commentary executives felt did not meet the standards of MSNBC or NBC News.”

Following the cancellation of her show, The Cross Collection, and of course, consequent drag on social media, Tiffany Cross MSNBC responded to the news on a, rather, sad note.
