Career Timeline

Kirk is known as the host of “The Kirk Minihane Show” on Barstool Sports. He’s also known for being one of the co-hosts of the WEEIʼs Sports Network Show tagged “Kirk and Callahan.” 

As an American Literature graduate, Kirk’s main career plan was screenwriting. So, when he graduated college he started making efforts to become a screenwriter in Hollywood but it wasn’t successful. 

Around then, he relocated to Boston to write for WEEI; a Boston-based sports media outlet relaunched in 2008. With this, we could say that Kirk made a U-turn to sports journalism, which by the way, he does very well and has succeeded at it. 

Previously, he was a columnist for the Lowell Sun. And well, Entercom’s New England sports station WEEI-FM happened, so he became the co-host of “The Dennis and Callahan Show.” 

Kirk and John Dennis were awesome while they hosted the show together. After John left WEEI, Kirk and Callahan became the new voices anchoring the Kirk and Callahan Show.
