The main problem of the flooded areas is the loss of the bearing capacity of soils, on which the buildings foundations are located. Because of water exposure the foundation of the building soaks and softens. The greatest risk in this case is uneven settlement of the foundation. Negative impacts of floods lead to a contamination and deterioration of sanitary conditions in the building reduction of buildings structures strength. This may lead to cracks in the walls, deflection of structures from the vertical and even to collapse of walls and ceilings. After such damages you will need a lot of time to make the full restoration of the house. Very much depends on the construction of the foundation and the frame of the building. In some cases, under the water exposure the foundation can immerse evenly and the building can stay in its initial state undamaged. But this is not always the case. It is great in case the soil under the foundation is dense, rocky and in compressible.

When the building stays for a long time under the water its structure loses its thermal properties and, as soon as the thermometer drops below zero, the walls can freeze very quickly. In the best case it will require additional costs for energy consumption for heating. At worst – the walls can crack. In this case, you will have to organize the walls restoration by yourself or in case of serious damage with the help of professionals.

It is necessary to remember that all previously waterlogged buildings should at least be carefully inspected by the owners of the building or managers of specialized companies that are engaged in provision of water restoration services. If you find the slightest damage: deformation, sediment, cracks on walls, deviations of structures vertically and horizontally, it is necessary to examine in detail the building or contact specialized organizations that know how to reduce the consequences of flood.

Costal Floods : This type of flood is happening when some abnormalities formed in the Sea. It is very common that there is some heavy depression formed found in the deep sea areas or the areas adjacent to the costal points. Due to that depression when the pressure level up or down the air gets its stormy form. This storm then compulsively flows the huge amount of sea water to the coastal areas and the areas are getting flooded.

Flash Floods: The areas with the steep slope and having the almost filled riverbed with the sands are generally facing these types of flood. After having a heavy rain these rivers are getting some sudden flow of water which it cannot take into and the water is flooding the adjacent areas of these rivers. The strength of the water is dangerous there and it could flow away the heavy objects coming on the path. Apart from this the other types of floods are also dangerous but do not have that much of strength to damage likes the aforesaid. In all the cases the excessive rainfalls or heavy water flows are the reason behind the flood.
